Calculation
The Leica DISTO™ A5 features a volume measuring function providing
extended room calculations whilst removing the requirement for laborious
mental arithmetic. When a room is measured for volume, the Leica
DISTO™ A5 will provide circumference, wall area, ceiling/floor area
and volume.
Telescopic Viewfinder
To help measuring over long distances the integrated 2x magnification
viewfinder allows for precision measuring, whilst the Power Range
Technology permits measurements without target plates.
Indirect Height Measuring - Pythagoras

The Leica DISTO™ A5 features several Pythagoras functions which allow
indirect height measurements to be taken. Combined with a tripod
and telescopic viewfinder, the Leica DISTO™ A5 can measure most buildings.

Multi-functional End-piece
The Leica DISTO™ A5 features a multifunctional endpeice. When you
need to measure from a corner, simply flip out the end piece and
take the measurement. The instrument will automatically sense the
position of the bracket and adjust the measurement accordingly.
Stakeout
To stake
out positions using equal distances is also a quick and easy task:
the device gives an audible signal as soon as a preset distance
or a multiple thereof is reached.
